If you're working a job in Sonic's world, there's a good chance that you will wind up a little fuzzier than when you started. This is particularly likely if you have speical powers or were never actually human to begin with. This change is optional but encouraged, since about a third of the population are anthropomorphic something-or-others in the first place. Actual pictures aren't necessary, but the notes here will help you guys describe the form you take.
Here are some examples of Mobian species. Ones that are portrayed by actual characters have links to a wiki file with an image:
Fox (multiple tails reserved for actual kitsune)
Rabbit, Skunk,
Squirrel, Chipmunk, Fawn, Flying Squirrel
Swallow, Hawk, Parrot, Owl, Pelican, Falcon, Quail
Red Panda
Cat
Hedgehog (of course)
Chinchilla, Ram, Kangaroo
Raccoon, Opossum
Crocodile, Chamelion, Komodo Dragon
Bee, Butterfly, Ant
Armadillo
Bat
Feel free to come up with others as well, these are just suggestions. Have trouble deciding? Think of the kind of location your character originates from, or the region of the world that approximates it, and choose a critter from there to use!
Colors literally range to all points of the spectrum, and there are quite a few that are a good old-fashioned brown or grey as well. Copying character hair color or other parts of their color scheme works just fine.
Clothing styles range between individuals. Males are generally lighter on the clothes and usually opt for only sneakers and gloves and some small accessories, whereas females can go from simple shoes or boots to full dresses and bodysuits, depending on their taste (and fur coverage). When in doubt, simply say your character is wearing a simplified version of their usual outfit.
